HomeSounds installs temporary or permanent, fixed or mobile, live streaming microphones. Each microphone broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the Locus Sonus Soundmap. They enable remote listening to acoustic habitats, not only allowing us to hear what is happening at these places when humans are not there, but also offering a unique experience of the soundscapes of these places, their changing nature across the seasons, the variety (or not) of wildlife they contain, and an opportunity to build a deeper and richer relationship with that particular place.
If you would be interested in learning more about temporary or permanent, mobile or fixed, live streaming of acoustic habitats, or would like to discuss installing a microphone, please get in touch or explore this website for more information on the potential for creative inspiration, learning, and imrpoving health and wellbeing offered by active environmental listening.
